About our Heritage

A legacy built around our customers

In 1985 we welcomed our first clients and today offer a wide range of banking, fund custody and fiduciary services as part of the Bank of Cayman Corporation group of companies.

Founded in 1974, and based in the Cayman Islands, one of the world's largest financial centres, Bank of Cayman Corporation ('CNC') continues to be a leader in the provision of integrated financial solutions to its domestic and international clients underpinned by service excellence.  CNC is publicly traded on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.

In March 2019, the Bank of Cayman group became part of the Republic Bank Trinidad & Tobago (Barbados) Limited, a subsidiary of Republic Financial Holdings Limited ('Republic').  Established in the Caribbean in 1837 as the Colonial Bank and becoming Barclays Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, Republic is today one of the region's largest and most successful financial institutions.  This change of ultimate ownership was a major milestone in the history of Bank of Cayman, and a significant step towards securing the future growth of the group.

As a group Bank of Cayman is a full-service financial institution.  Operating from multiple jurisdictions, it is able to be nimble and flexible in delivering a tailored service with an extra personal touch.
